About IIADC

IIADC Mission

To provide complete education and extensive member benefits to all members at a reasonable cost. To lobby on behalf of the member and the general public in all legislative and insurance industry arenas for protection of all interests.

Our History

The Independent Insurance Agents of Dade County, Inc., originally was established as The Greater Miami Insurance Board in 1933. It was formed as a means for education and the exchange of constructive ideas between members and to encourage a high standard of professionalism. Present members continue to work toward that goal, and in so doing have protected and cultivated the American Agency System.

In 1976, The Greater Miami Insurance Board became the Independent Insurance Agents of Dade County, Inc. It has remained a group of dedicated local insurance agents working together for the betterment of their community and the insurance industry in ways that would be impossible for an individual to accomplish. The Independent Insurance Agents of Dade County, Inc. supports and encourages legislation in the best interest of the public and the insurance industry.

The Independent Insurance Agents of Dade County, Inc., is a not-for-profit trade association of local independent insurance agents from throughout Miami-Dade County. I.I.A.D.C. supports and promotes the independent agency system by providing educational resources to foster the professionalism of its membership. Is affiliated with the Florida Association of Independent Agents (F.A.I.A.) and the Independent Insurance Agents of America (I.I.A.A.).
